Negombo situated by the shores of a lagoon by the same name once has been a trading port for Portuguese and Dutch and is a ideal place for those who want quick access to and from the airport. Attractions in the city are the old Dutch fort gate built in 1672 now a part of the prison, the Dutch Canal which was then a supply route to the Dutch administration, old churches and fishing villagers. The 100km long canal running through the town is still being used and is an attraction for those who want to see the country from a different perspective.

Day 02 :  Negombo / Pinnawala / Sigiriya

After scrumptious breakfast with variety, proceed to Sigiriya via Pinnawala…

See baby jumbos wondering around their cramped foster home or bottle fed and bathed by their human foster fathers at Pinnawala, about 90Km from Colombo towards Kandy is the home to some 60 or more elephant orphans. A place you will really enjoy and never forget. Most orphans are accustomed to their curious human visitors are harmless. Watch them roll & play but don’t lose track of time…

Day 03 : Sigiriya / Habarana / Sigiriya – (The fortress in the sky)

Day 04 : Sigiriya / Dambulla / Kandy – (The citadel in the Hills…)

After breakfast with variety, proceed to Kandy via Dambulla…

Dambulla is a part of the Cultural Triangle declared by UNESCO is on the main road from Sigiriya to Kandy about 19Km from Sigiriya. There are over 80 caves in the surrounding and some of them have been used by the monks as meditation locations. The temple is a perfect location to view evolution of the ancient Sri Lankan arts.

Through Golden paddy fields and lush Green you will continue to Kandy, the last royal capital of Sri Lanka.

Quiet and homely, residents cluster around the economic hub that buzzes a bazaar atmosphere. Life moves sedately, though not with inactivity. Away from tourist trappings, Kandy is filled with hidden thrills.

Day 06 : Kandy / Colombo City tour - (The Commercial City)

After scrumptious breakfast with variety, proceed to Colombo to wind up the tour…

Go on a site seeing and a shopping trip around the busy streets of Colombo.

Many visitors will appreciate Colombo’s colonial heritage, its fine dining and shopping opportunities, and the dash of urban buzz in an overwhelmingly rural country. Others will tire quickly of the diesel fumes and the modern buildings on Galle Rd, the city’s main artery. If you’re only on a short trip to Sri Lanka, you may wish to pass by Colombo, but if you have the time – there are plenty of cultural and historical attractions in areas such as Fort, Cinnamon Gardens and Pettah.

Day 07 : Colombo / Airport

After a good bye breakfast proceed to the Airport for the Departure Flight with memories to cherish.
