Tropical North Queensland’s jewels are its two World Heritage listed natural wonders. The Great Barrier Reef is one of Australia’s most iconic sights, composed of over 2,900 individual reefs with an abundance of marine life. The Daintree Rainforest is part of the listed Wet Tropics area and is, in its own way, as spectacular as the Reef with equally abundant and diverse wildlife. Nearby Port Douglas has an intimate, boutique feel while Cairns is a colorful and vibrant gateway to the region’s many attractions.
